While this decision was hard for the organizing team to make, the in-person 2020 Northeast Permaculture Convergence is being postponed until July 16-18, 2021. While communities are localizing, staying home, and tending to themselves and loved ones, AND with the threat of COVID-19 spreading amidst larger group gatherings, we felt it was our responsibility to the health and wellbeing of the northeast permaculture network to recalibrate and move the in-person event to next summer.
With that being said, PAN and the organizing team are looking into the feasibility of hosting a shorter, interactive virtual convergence. Though this does not replace the fruitful experience of an in-person gathering, we are hoping to contribute to the positive momentum around resiliency, permaculture, and food production that has arisen during this pandemic. Once the details are sorted out, we will begin advertising this and hope some of you will be able to attend! Information about ticket refunds will be sent directly to ticket holders.
The Northeast Permaculture Convergence is one of the longest running gatherings that we know of in the permaculture world! We had a solid annual run from 2005-2014, and while we’ve been on pause since 2014, we’re ready to get the gang back together this summer in 2020! We have been slowly and steadily building our network of designers, educators, practitioners, organizers, activists, farmers, homesteaders and entrepreneurs over the past 15 years and we invite you to New Hampshire for our 2020 gathering.
Relax, enjoy, share, learn and connect with friends and peers. Bring your friends and families!
We will gather July 24th-26th, 2020 at D Acres Permaculture Farm & Educational Homestead located in Dorchester, New Hampshire where our theme will be:
2020: Where Hindsight Meets Foresight
It has been six years since we gathered at the MOFGA Fairgrounds in Unity, Maine for the last northeast regional convergence. We miss the excitement, energy, and camaraderie that a regional event brings and we know that you do too. We’ve heard you asking “So when’s the next convergence?” so we are hard at work for 2020! We’re inviting seasoned designers, organizers, and teachers as well as new PDC grads and activists to get together and cross-pollinate!
All meals and hospitality will be provided during the Convergence (delicious local organic food with vegan, vegetarian and special diets fully accommodated). There will be a full schedule of programming for adults and kids, an active vendor marketplace, health and wellness programming and much time for hanging out, catching up, celebrating and relaxing in the beautiful destination that is D Acres.
Summer may seem far away but the Convergence date is fast approaching. Prices increase on May 1st and ticket sales end on July 1st so get your tickets and camping spot before time runs out! A ticket gets you attendance to all three days of the Convergence, two nights of camping, meals, and an included one-year PAN membership or membership extension. Tickets and space are limited so act today and spread the word!
