Agriculture Manager and Educator
About the farm:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing ifarm’s gardens and fields and teaching permaculture-related workshops. They will have experience in managing both permaculture and no-till, row crop systems. They will understand that regenerative agriculture and revenue generation can go hand-in-hand.
The candidate should be accustomed to using organic, no-till agricultural methods and have experience in planning and leading programs in the application of permaculture. They will lead a team of 2-3 individuals in managing all aspects of planning, planting, cultivating, harvesting, processing, and storing products. The candidate MUST demonstrate good communication skills and ideally have experience in mentoring. The ability to work in a small team environment is crucial.
This position also involves a significant amount of public speaking. Candidate will be interested in leading educational workshops and have the ability to plan and organize a curriculum and present it in an efficient and effective way.
The IDEAL candidate will have the following qualifications:
Ability to create educational curriculums and lead engaging workshops in permaculture processes, methods, and techniques;
Knowledge of medicinal herbs and herbalism (ability to identify and process harvested herbs);
Lead/mentor garden staff; collaborate with team members and management.
